Each candidate is thoroughly screened and their credentials reviewed to ensure that they meet the high standards of care required by EDP. Do I have to commit to one dentist and stick with them?
It is very simple and no paper work is required. Members can switch dentists as often as they wish. They can even see multiple dentists at one time. Just call the EDP Dental Plan for support and a customer service representative will assist you to determine if a particular dentist is participating in the EDP Dental Plan. Can the plan be used for specialty treatments?
Good news! All specialty treatments provided by our participating practitioners are available at a discount through the EDP Dental Plan.
Am I eligible for additional savings if my business qualifies for a group dental plan?
Yes! Companies with 10 or more staffers and unions qualify for special ‘group-rate’ reductions. Call the EDP Dental Plan for support and a customer service representative will be glad to assist you.
Who is eligible?
EDP offers plans for individuals, couples, families and groups. The EDP Dental Plan is open to everyone.
Is there a waiting period?
There is no waiting period before you can benefit from the EDP Dental Plan. You’ll receive your membership ID card usually within five business days after signing up. If you need to see a dentist now, just make an appointment with any participating provider, present your member ID number, and receive access to the EDP rates right away.
Who is the provider?
Qualified dentists and dental specialists selected for participation in the EDP Dental Plan are known as ‘providers’. He or she will offer their services as mentioned in the Plan at a discounted and predetermined rate. Every provider has passed EDP’s selective qualification process to become a trusted EDP Dental Plan practitioner who delivers quality services.
How long is my membership good for?
Membership is for a year and may be renewed.
